at random...11/30/2009

amanda grace - 7 news weekend midday in new england anchor.  she's becoming a most pleasant part of my weekend routine.  (35 points)

mark margarit - mark does the weather for 7 news weekend midday in new england.  he walks and talks like a flight attendant.  seriously.  watch him and you will see what i mean.  he gives me a craving for a can of warm 7up and 3 nips of smirnoff. (-15 points)

sara underwood - her husband implied on his radio show that if sara had nicer "cans" she wouldn't be working weekends.

I really hate the way because so many people from this state have so much more hatred in their dark hearts than anything else that they insist on saying senselessly ruthless things about Boston's on-air news personalities. Don't get me wrong, I have my criticisms...but I keep them tactful.
It's mad easy to be a faceless "armchair judge." Doing the news is just as difficult as any other job. I've done enough cable access to know just how difficult television can be -- and that's only the "pressure" of having about fifteen viewers at any given time; most of whom won't even stay tuned for the entire broadcast.
I wish Massholes weren't such a miserable, bitter bunch. If they weren't, they'd be able to see just how damned fortunate they are to have the most awesome news broadcasts in the entire country. Take a drive to any other state and check out what THEY are offering up: people with the personalities of wet cardboard and NO WHERE NEAR as many GORGEOUS ladies as the broadcasts in Boston.
For example, just look at this particular blog entry and that uber-babe you've got -- Amanda Grace -- at the top. Where else in the country are your eyes going to be treated to a woman as beautiful as she?
And I don't care what anyone says, there really isn't one anchor in Boston who isn't good at what they do; the only thing worth criticizing is the differences in their personalities. But it seems as though many of the hate-filled assholes in Mass-hole-chusetts watch the news just to look for someone to take out their misery on. It's totally pathetic.
Personally, I have a very difficult time trying to decide which broadcast I'm going to watch because they've ALL got something great to offer.
Granted, I happen to think that Randy Price is boring and I can barely hear the guy. He's not "bad" per se, but I definitely prefer Bianca De La Garza. But I'll admit that since Randy's taken the anchor desk, I've switched over to channel 7 WHDH because I really enjoy the very spunky Ann Allred; the cool Adam Williams; and (handily one of the finest women I've ever seen in my life) meteorologist Dylan Dreyer.
I used to watch Fox 25 almost exclusively, but I've got to just be honest; Doug Meehan is just too loud. From his yelling to his shirts and his...um...(ahem) "ambiguity" (see how I'm trying to use a little TACT??) I just couldn't take any more. He's a nice guy and all of that and very good at what he does...just not somebody that a heterosexual man really wants to watch in the morning. Sorry, Doug...no offense...and I honestly mean that.
In conclusion I think probably the reason it's more difficult to be a Boston news person is its unusually ungrateful audience...and I raise my Dunkin' Donuts coffee to all of them...even the ones I criticize.
